BOMBANANA! Demo
Before the full game's September 2, 2026 release, BOMBANANA! has been playable for free through a Steam demo — and it's not a stripped-down teaser. It's a genuine slice of the core three-player loop, and it's a big part of why the game built the following it has ahead of launch.

What's in the demo
The free demo spans 7 levels of escalating bomb complexity, and unlocks a repeatable Free Mode once you clear level 5 — useful for drilling communication with your team without a fresh timer punishing every mistake. Our demo levels breakdown covers what each tier actually throws at you, including what changes between the early, easier bombs and the later ones that stack multiple modules on the same case.
Every level plays out inside the same cramped bomb van setting, with the Mute Monkey's manual, a color button pad, a keypad, sliders, and a green LCD countdown timer all crammed into view at once — the demo doesn't hold back on the core scenario just because it's free. See our modules reference for a closer look at the individual puzzle types you'll run into once you're in a session.
Getting it running
The demo is a separate, free Steam listing from the full game — you don't pre-purchase anything to play it. See our demo download guide for the exact install steps, and keep in mind this is strictly a 3-player experience; you'll want two friends with working microphones lined up before you start, not just yourself. Once you've got a session going, our how to play guide and modules reference cover the mechanics you'll actually run into.
Why the demo matters this close to launch
With the full game's price still officially unannounced (see our pricing page for what's known so far), the demo is currently the only risk-free way to find out whether BOMBANANA!'s communication-under-pressure loop actually clicks with your specific group of friends. It's a bigger sample than most demos too — 7 full levels rather than a single tutorial slice — so by the time you've cleared it you'll have a genuine sense of whether this is a game your regular group will keep coming back to after the September 2, 2026 release.
