What is BOMBANANA!?

BOMBANANA! is a chaotic, three-player co-op party game about a bomb that only survives if three very confused monkeys can somehow get on the same page. Every round drops you and two friends into a cramped, sticker-covered bomb van with a countdown clock, and splits the information you need three ways. One monkey can touch the bomb but can't see it. One can see everything and hear nothing. One holds the only copy of the manual and can't say a word of it out loud. Nobody can solo a bomb — the entire game is the three of you building a communication system out of pointing, gestures, and increasingly desperate improvisation.

It's a spiritual cousin to manual-reading party games like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (see our full comparison), but the twist is structural rather than just informational: instead of one player calmly reading rules over voice chat, BOMBANANA! actively breaks the channel each player can use. The result is less "solve the puzzle" and more "solve the puzzle while also figuring out how to talk to each other," which is exactly the kind of chaos that got the free demo to 670,000+ demo players during Steam Next Fest in June 2026, on the way to 1,000,000+ wishlists ahead of the September 2, 2026 release.

How a round works

1. Pile into the van. Three players load in and each gets assigned one of the three roles for that bomb.
2. Read what you can. The Mute Monkey opens the manual, the Deaf Monkey studies the bomb's panels and lights, and the Blind Monkey waits for instructions.
3. Build a channel. Between them, the team improvises a way to move information from the manual, to the bomb, to the hands that can actually act on it — usually a mix of gestures, emotes, and pointing.
4. Defuse before time runs out. Every module solved correctly buys breathing room; every wrong guess eats into a shrinking timer, with a full explosion ending the round for everyone.

Bomb modules

Bombs are built from several independent puzzle modules, and the manual only tells one player how to read them. Early modules lean on wire panels and Braille strips; later ones stack in keypads, switch banks, and symbol puzzles that need to be solved in the right order under real time pressure. Wait, is this the Roblox game?

Short answer: no. BOMBANANA! is a standalone Steam release from Lefto Studio, not a Roblox experience.
